Maha Sinnathamby AM, Chairman of Springfield City Group, created the “Maha Sinnathamby Ideas and Imagination Award” to encourage students from the Greater Springfield area to voice their ideas and dreams for the city they call home.
The Context
Greater Springfield has been master planned with Education, Health and Technology as its cornerstones. Greater Springfield is future-focused and wants to ensure that the future of city-living is sustainable and healthy, allowing residents to live, work, rest and play.
The Question
Tell us what Springfield will look like in the future. Focus your answer on one or more of the following focus areas.
Areas of Focus
Areas of focus for submissions can include (but are not exclusive to): Technology, Sustainability, Lifestyle, Health, Energy, Transport, Creativity and Architecture.
Primary School and High School Students from the Greater Springfield area are encouraged to submit their ideas.

You must be available to pitch your idea if shortlisted on Friday 27 October 2022.
Timeline and Judging Process
Stage 1: Submissions received by the deadline of Friday 7 October 2022 will be reviewed by a panel of judges at Springfield City Group.
Stage 2: Shortlisted entries for primary school and high school categories will be invited to pitch their idea in front of judges at Springfield City Group on Friday 27 October 2022.
Stage 3: Winners for Primary School and High School will be announced at the pitch event on Friday 27 October 2022.
